First Assistant Secretary Digital Architecture and Strategy (FAS DAS) is responsible for supporting and governing technology investment decisions in Defence via their role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is achieved by developing Defence’s digital strategy and designing the target state enterprise architecture to achieve the strategy. In addition FAS DAS provides a Digital Capability Incubator to support adoption of contemporary and innovative digital technology via agile proofs-of-concept, this will provide Capability Managers with early project risk reduction insights and an ability to fast-track solution design.
