The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) (Division 1) is a continuation of the Family Court of Australia. The FCFCOA (Division 1) is Australia’s specialist court dealing with family disputes, and hears appeals from decisions in family law matters of the FCFCOA (Division 2). The FCFCOA (Division 1) sits in each state and territory except Western Australia, where family law matters are heard by a state court, the Family Court of Western Australia.
