Associate Secretary

The Associate Secretary organisation is part of the strategic centre of the Department and has a central role in driving Defence transformation. The Associate Secretary is responsible for Defence enterprise planning, performance and risk management functions and the running of the business of Defence. This includes the integration of all enabling services – ICT, finance, estate, human resources, legal, audit, ministerial and parliamentary services, media and communications, and data. In addition to these duties, the Associate Secretary is the Capability Manager for Defence business information system programs which are delivering improvements to Defence’s human resource, health and information management systems including the Enterprise Resource Planning Program.
