National Customs Brokers Licensing Advisory Committee

This Committee is established under the Customs Act 1901. The functions of the Committee are: (a) to investigate and report on applications referred to it by the Comptroller-General of Customs under section 183CB; (b) to investigate and report on questions referred to it by the Comptroller-General of Customs under section 183CQ; (c) to advise the Comptroller-General of Customs in relation to the approval of courses of study under section 183CC; and (d) where the Comptroller-General of Customs requests the Committee to advise him or her on the standards that customs brokers should meet in the performance of their duties and obligations as customs brokers—to advise the Comptroller-General of Customs accordingly.
