The Small and Family Business Division provides policy advice to Government and other portfolios on small and family business issues and delivers initiatives to assist the Government develop a competitive and productive environment for small and family businesses. The Division supports the growth of small and family businesses and builds a sustainable and productive small business sector through key programs such as Payment Times Initiatives, Franchising Reforms, Small Business Digital Capability Initiatives, Small Business Mental and Financial Wellbeing Initiatives, and International engagement on small and medium business matters. Small business policy cuts across all areas of government and economy. It needs a whole-of-government focus and close coordination with portfolios such as Employment and Attorney-General portfolios.
