The Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management Committee is established under the Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management Ordinance 2015. The Committee consists of representatives of bodies involved in emergency management in the Jervis Bay Territory, including organisations from NSW which provide emergency services to the Jervis Bay Territory. The Committee must prepare an emergency management plan for the Territory which must be approved by the Minister or his or her delegate. The Committee must also give effect to emergency management policy and practice in the JBT, co-ordinate training, and report to the Minister in writing each year about the Committee's activities.
