The National Accessible Transport Taskforce has been established by the Infrastructure and Transport Senior Officials’ Committee to lead the reform and modernisation of the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (Transport Standards). Membership includes representatives from the disability community, jurisdictions, the Australian Human Rights Commission, Attorney-General’s Department, transport industry and subject matter experts. The Taskforce reports to the National Accessible Transport Steering Committee. The reforms to the Transport Standards are being jointly led by the Commonwealth and Queensland Governments. Secretariat for the Taskforce is provided by Queensland.
