Airport Building Controllers are appointed and authorised by the Secretary of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts to administer Part 5, Division 5 of the Airports Act 1996 and the Airports (Building Control) Regulations 2025 across 20 leased federal airports.
