The National Health Practitioner Ombudsman and Privacy Commissioner is appointed by all Australian Health Ministers. The National Health Practitioner Ombudsman and Privacy Commissioner provides ombudsman, privacy and freedom of information services in relation to other bodies established under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law in accordance with the following Commonwealth Legislation as modified by the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Regulation 2018: - Australian Information Commission Act 2010; - Freedom of Information Act 1982; - Ombudsman Act 1976; and - Privacy Act 1988 .
