The Aged Care Clinical Advisory Committee Reducing the Inappropriate use of Restraint in Residential Aged care provides expert clinical advice on a range of initiatives to reduce the inappropriate use of restraint in residential aged care. This includes measures announced by Government on 1 March 2021, in response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Safety and Quality, to strengthen legislation and drive cultural change around the use of physical and chemical restraint.
