Expert Council on University Governance

Education
The Expert Council on University Governance was established by Education Ministers Meeting to strengthen university governance in response to Priority Action 5 of the Australian Universities Accord Interim Report. The Council will provide expert and technical governance advice to Education Ministers about how to improve university governance and performance. The Council will also develop new ‘University Governance Principles and Recommendations’ based on 10 priority areas identified by Education Ministers, designed to enhance the accountability, transparency, engagement and representation of university governing bodies.
