Your guide to the structures, organisations and key people in the Australian Government

Air Defence and Space Systems Division was established in response to the continued growth and strategic importance of Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) and Space related capabilities. With the strategic importance and scale of both Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD), Space Services, Space Control and Combat Air Support Programs will continue to increase the CASG workload in these areas. The demand for skilled workforce in Defence and Defence Industry is exacerbated by the guided weapon enterprise and increased cyber requirements, as well as the AUKUS initiatives. The Division consists of Air Defence Systems (ADS) Branch, Air and Space Surveillance and Control (ASSC) and Space Services Branch (SSB). With the broad range of IAMD, Combat Air Support and Space related capabilities, further analysis will be conducted into additional candidate programs that may need to transition into ADSS Division in a controlled manner over the coming calendar year.
