Environment Assessments QLD

The Environment Assessments QLD and Sea Dumping Branch undertake Environmental Assessments under Part 7 to 9 of the EPBC Act and strategic assessments under Part 10 EPBC Act, as it relates to actions undertaken in Queensland. The branch administer the Environment Protection (Sea Dumping) Act 1981 (Act) which allows Australia to fulfil its obligations as a Contracting Party to the 1996 Protocol to the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes 1972 (also known as the London Protocol).
