The Australian Climate Service (ACS) has been established as a partnership to provide a virtual service that improves data, intelligence and expert advice on climate risks and impacts to improve natural disaster management and climate adaption decision making. It aims to transform Australia's capability to better understand climate and weather event related risks within Australia now and into the future. The partnership is between: the Bureau of Meteorology (the Bureau), CSIRO, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), and Geoscience Australia (GA).
