The Animal Biosecurity Branch develops biosecurity import policy and provide scientific risk advice for the safe importation of animals and animal products (including aquatic animals); gain, maintain and expand trade and market access for Australian animals and their genetic materials; provide policy and technical advice on marine pest biosecurity; and contribute to international standard setting for animals, animal products and marine biosecurity.
