The Sub-committee on Plant Health Diagnostics (SPHD) is a Sub-committee of Plant Health Committee (PHC) and aims to sustain and improve the quality and reliability of plant pest diagnostics in Australia. SPHD includes representation from the Australian, state and territory governments, Plant Health Australia, Plant Biosecurity CRC and CSIRO. New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries and a representatives from the Subcommittee on National Plant Health Surveillance and forestry are observers on the committee. Secretariat services are provided by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.
