General Practice Training Advisory Committee

The GP Training Advisory Committee is a profession-led committee. The committee's purpose is to provide advice to government to maintain and improve standards of general practice training and ensure the registrar workforce is well distributed in order to deliver primary health care to Australian communities. It provides a forum for members to discuss policy issues, formulate advice to government, and oversee improvement and evaluation activities in relation to GP training. Secretariat services are provided by the Department of Health and Aged Care, Workforce Training Branch.
