Industry, Science and Resources
CBD Program mandates the disclosure of energy efficiency information for commercial office spaces of 1000 square metres or more. Disclosure of this information before sale or lease assists prospective buyers and tenants to make informed decisions. The CBD Program is delivered by the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. The Commercial Building Disclosure Forum (CBDF) provides industry input and advice to improve the effectiveness of the CBD program. The CBDF helps identify program implementation issues and contributes to technical and communication strategies and guidance materials for industry. The Department chairs the CBDF which comprises representatives of the Property Council of Australia, Australia Direct Property Investment Association, Energy Efficiency Council, Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, Facility Management Association, Green Building Council of Australia, the legal sector, and NSW OEH.
