Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Scheme (DFRDB) is the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Scheme, established under the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Act 1948 and the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Act 1973. This scheme is closed to new members on 1 October 1991. DFRDB was replaced by Military Super. DFRDB is a fully defined untaxed benefit superannuation scheme.
