The Monetary Policy Board is responsible for determining the monetary policy of the RBA in a way that best contributes to price stability and the maintenance of full employment in Australia, and the RBA’s policy for contributing to the stability of the Australian financial system. Membership consists of the Governor, Deputy Governor, Secretary to the Treasury and six external members.
