The Australian Space Agency Advisory Board (‘the Advisory Board’) is responsible for providing independent, external advice on the strategic direction of Australia’s civil space sector, and to provide commercial, scientific, and technological advice on Australian space policies, programs, and priorities. The Advisory Board is a non-statutory, independent, skills-based board that provides advice to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. Chair and members serve in an advisory capacity only; it is not a decision-making body and has no governing legislation.
