The Independent Advisory Council provides advice to the Board of the National Disability Insurance Agency and is made up of people with disabilities, carers, those experienced in service delivery and disability in rural and remote areas. The Independent Advisory Council provides the Board with independent advice on matters relating to the design and delivery of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and how it meets objectives. This advice must have regard to the role of families, carers and other significant persons in the lives of people with disability.
