The Institute provides executive development programs for senior officers of the police services and public safety industry in Australia and New Zealand. The Institute also delivers capacity-building programs on behalf of the Australian Federal Police as required. The Institutes activities are aligned to Directions in Australia New Zealand Policing 2012-2015.
Australian Institute of Police Management staff are employed under the Australian Federal Police Act 1979.
