Board of Taxation Secretariat

The Board of Taxation Secretariat provides policy and general secretariat support to the Board of Taxation. The Board is a non-statutory body created to advise the government on the design and operation of Australia's tax laws and to facilitate effective business and community consultation as part of the tax design process. The Board also provides real-time input into tax policy development and long-term reform options. Finally, as the Ministerial Advisory Council in relation to tax matters, the Board has a continuing focus on tax regulation reform.
