Advice and Investment Branch

Advice and Investment Branch (AIB) is responsible for providing advice on regulating the financial advice sector. including setting the education and training standards for financial advisers in Australia, as well as investment schemes and providing the Treasurer and other ministers with advice on the development and implementation of Government policy and programs. Current focus areas include the implementation of a new disciplinary system for financial advisers, the rationalisation of legacy managed investment scheme products, and completing the wind up of the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority.
