Environment Assessments Vic and Tas and Post Approvals

The Environment Assessments Vic, Tas and Post Approvals Branch administer the post-approval function for all approved projects under the EPBC Act, including administration of requests to vary conditions of approval and the review and approval of offset proposals and environmental management plans. The branch also undertake Environmental Assessments under Part 7 to 9 of the EPBC Act and strategic assessments under Part 10 of the EPBC Act, as it relates to actions undertaken in Victoria and Tasmania, including major projects and working with state governments to implement bilateral agreements. The Environment Assessments Vic, Tas and Post Approvals Branch support the regulation of water resources under the EPBC Act, including post approval review and approval of water management plans and regulatory support in drafting water-related conditions of approval.
