The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is a statutory authority established under the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Administration) Act 1992 and it is the regulator of agricultural and veterinary chemicals in Australia. The Authority is responsible for assessing and registering pesticides and veterinary medicines proposed for supply in Australia.
The APVMA Board is the accountable authority and set the APVMA’s strategic direction, drive its operational performance, set an appropriate risk management framework and ensure greater accountability.
