The Plant Protection and Environmental Biosecurity Division supports and improves Australia’s plant health system to ensure it minimises the impacts of current and emerging plant biosecurity risks to Australia’s environment, agricultural production and trade, and helps meet relevant national and international obligations. We also provide policy leadership and support on national environmental biosecurity issues to ensure Australia’s environment, economy, health, culture, social amenity and national security interests are safeguarded from the impacts of exotic and established pests, diseases and weeds.
