To acknowledge and commemorate the service and sacrifice of the men and women who served Australia and its allies in wars, conflicts and peace operations. The Commemorations Branch supports community engagement by providing grants to community organistions for commemoration and through online and hard-copy products and resources. They are also responsible for planning and conducting overseas and domestic commemorative events, including the annual Anzac Day services at Gallipoli, Turkey and Villers-Bretonneux, France and other domestic events.
