Australian Government Actuary

Australian Government Actuary is a fully self-funded unit providing actuarial consultancy advice to public sector clients on a fee for service basis. AGA provides advice on matters involving cash flows which are long term and/or uncertain. Such matters arise in many different contexts within the public sector. Some examples include the design and valuation of staff benefits (government superannuation, compensation and long service leave), the operation of the financial sector particularly the insurance sector (prudential and market conduct), social security and veterans' entitlements, the Higher Education Loans Program etc.
