Historic Memorials Committee

Established in 1911 by the Federal Executive Council. Commissions portraits of the holders of certain parliamentary, judicial and vice-regal offices and certain commemorative paintings for inclusion in the Historic Memorials Collection. The Department of Parliamentary Services provides the secretariat to the committee and administrative support for the Collection.
